Custom Vertical Cartoning Machine to Accommodate 6 Different Brush Boxes
A cartoning machine is an industrial tool that automatically packs goods into boxes. It quickly packages products into cartons, making them vital to packing lines.
Our client has 6 different brushes, to begin with. As part of the packaging process, they would want to have a cartoning machine that can automatically unfold the boxes before placing the brushes inside. The machine should open the package boxes automatically, insert the brushes by hand, and then the machine close the boxes again.

The cartoning-manual material placement-box closing is a normal application of the cartoning machine. The challenge would be is how the machine will accommodate different sizes of the boxes.
The size range of the standard box of the carton machine is length (75-210) × width (35-100) × height (12-60) mm. However, since the product is a brush with a handle, the length of the box is particularly long.

Planning and Designing
After receiving the dimensions of the six boxes, the initial idea was to design the equipment and look into a horizontal cartoning machine. However, there would be issues if manufacturing was carried out horizontally, thus a vertical machine was recommended. Because the brushes’ handles are usually made of rubber, it is inconvenient for workers to place supplies horizontally, as the box would scrape against the rubber. After examining the circumstances, we decided to adapt the plan to a vertical carton machine.
The client promptly sent us the deposit once we submitted the preliminary quotation. In addition, we set up three boxes to be processed as samples after finishing the plan review, and the outcome was, unsurprisingly, outstanding. Our equipment eventually gave them the packaging solution they needed after all that evaluation.

At long last, after much deliberation and testing, we have settled on customizing a non-standard vertical cartoning machine to meet the specific production needs of our client.
This packaging machine is supposed to be able to:
- Create cardboard boxes, load them with contents, and then close them using an automated system.
- Increase the throughput while simultaneously lowering the expenses of labor and improving production efficiency.
