It often features a hopper on the side of the machine or a standing container. The machine’s pneumatically-powered pump is connected to fill containers with a certain quantity of liquid. The foot pedal switch starts the filling, and containers are placed below the filling nozzles.

Transparent metering cylinders show liquid displacement by the piston and actuator system. The metering valve forces liquid to the filling nozzles as the piston rises.

After filling, the metering valve turns to admit just liquid from the intake hose. After a moment, the actuator draws the piston back, filling the measuring cylinders with liquid for the following cycle.

Volumetric filling machines can fill 5ml to 25-litre containers at 150 per minute, depending on fill volume, product viscosity, and automation.

🔵 Vacuum Level Filling 

Semi-automatic vacuum filling devices create an airtight seal around a filling nozzle using a rim at the top of the container.

The airtight seal produces a vacuum that pulls liquid from the supply tank into the bottle through specialized nozzles. The nozzles feature a side hole and a tiny internal tube. Liquid filling depends on the hole’s height relative to the container’s top during filling. A small hole in the nozzle collects extra filling liquids in a receiver for recycling.

Vacuum-Level Filling Machine

Instead of dispensing the same amount, vacuum level filling equipment fills containers to the same height. This is ideal for side-by-side glass bottles on racks in stores. Glass bottles differ in capacity, but vacuum-level filling keeps their filling level steady, giving them an even look. To fill vacuum levels, use sturdy containers that won’t fall.

Special vacuum-filling nozzles feature an additional, small-diameter tube that emerges through the primary nozzle tube near its tip. The little tube’s opposite end is attached to the machine’s vacuum side through an excess liquid catch jar and draws a vacuum when on.

The vacuum causes lower-than-atmospheric pressure within a container when the nozzle sealing rubbers shut it. Hoses link the filling nozzle’s bigger tube to the liquid supply.

The liquid flows through the supply hose, nozzle body, and bottle because of the lower pressure. The vacuum pulls liquid into the container until it reaches the smaller vacuum hose on the main nozzle’s side. The smaller sucking tube inside the nozzle draws extra liquid rather than air and diverts it to the excess liquid catch jar at a much slower pace owing to its tiny diameter.

The airtight excess liquid container is vacuum-connected. The machine may be turned off, and the container’s contents return to the liquid supply vessel. Some devices include float and valve upgrades that return excess liquid to the supply vessel. 

Depending on container type, filling head count, and automation, vacuum-level machines may fill 120 bottles per minute reliably. The top of the bottles touches a sealing ring surrounding the nozzle. Once an airtight seal is achieved, the container will fill and stop at the set filling height.
